Step 7: Contine To Design Your Site |
This is an important step because people make initial judgments of your site within the first couple of seconds on your page. The more hip your site looks, the more your customers will trust it. The good news is that there are tons of resources on the web to help you with this step.
 - You are going to make some mistakes, but save some time by finding a couple of website that have a look and feel you like. Don't be ashamed use them for ideas. Then combine them into your masterpiece. Also, sites that sell your same product are great for finding ideas. Or you can check out some website templates at TemplateWorld.
- At this point you should have arranged access to your product, now you need to set up pages for each product. If you have many products, the best way to do this is utilize eComerce tools that are provided by your host. If you have less than 20, you can make an individual page for every product. Make a generic page and then add in the unique content for each product. Copy and paste until you have one page for all products.
- Don't forget to include advertisements on your site. See the next step for more information about this.
- You are going to want to learn some basic HTML. A great resource used by beginners and advanced is W3Schools. Even though you will be using a builder, you need to know what the builder is doing. Here is the beginner's page for HTML.
Take the time to make it look nice. This is especially important if you are selling something. You don't want people to think that Joe Smoe put this together on his 1997 apple computer. |
